Lynton

The night began to fall when we were still on the way to Lynton after leaving Glastonbury. But the landscape view never stopped surprising us with joy.

After checking in our hotel in Lynton there were only 12 minutes to be exactly that the Sun will set. We rushed our way to the coastline path of which to the Northwest is a huge ocean bay embraced by Wessex and Wales. Just in time we caught the sunset, in pink.

It was extremely dark already when we were heading our way on the tiny path back to the hotel. It was almost a relief when we finally reached Lynton village. The moon had come out and it was just so quiet that we cannot hear anything.

The next morning when we looked through the window it was like sky city we were looking at. No word or picture could ever depict what we saw.

We went downstairs for the breakfast. A very lovely cat was sleeping on a chair outside the window. Yesterday evening she was standing right at the front road to welcome us, and she was so submissive that she came to smell us. The hostress told us that she’s already 16 years old.

We checked out early and left our car at the B&B to do some hiking around Lynton. It was a path up to the hill and when we crossed it a panoramic view of farm land and the sea.

Since we had plenty of time to drive from Lynton back to Bristol, we took some wild roads in between mountains or farmlands just to encounter more sceneries. How smart we were by then! I especially loved those small villages scattered in the mountain. They were very small, but lovely and peaceful. You can tell from the delicate gardens that someone had been taking care of the whole area very dedicatedly.

And probably after the next corner you’ll see the sheep…
