It wasn’t easy to take a three-hour bus trip from London to Bristol in a rainy afternoon. We were hungry and wet after leaving the coach station, so we went into a Subway store right away just to fuel up again. Then it was also a long walk to find our reserved zip car. Fortunately it wasn’t too complicated.
It seemed from the moment we got our car it stopped raining. We drove up a hill less than 1 mile away from the city centre of Bath and found Grays boutique B&B among a street line of beautiful residence house.
We booked a room called Deluxe French King, which was spacious and beautifully decorated, not to mention the stunning view through the window of triad.

After several minutes rest we decided to walk to the city centre of Bath. I fell in love with the small city immediately. It was peaceful, quiet, lovely and lively. We didn’t really get into Roman Bath or Abbey. It just felt right to do city walk there. We were also lucky to have a friend recommended us an ice-cream place (the real italian ice cream company) and a coffee shop (same same but different).

To finish our short stay in Bath we had a wonderful breakfast at Grays, with full English breakfast and egg benedict. They also put a side bar with fresh fruit and yoghourt which was absolutely delicious, especially the later.

After a very relaxed morning we started our road trip heading to Lyton, the famous fishing village built by the seaside in Exmoor national park.
